CONGRESS NOT MEANT TO BE PROFESSIONALS

I AGREE completely with the July 11 letter, "Set limit to terms in Congress," by Bob Baird.

I am sure that the Founding Fathers never intended for the Congress to be made up of professional politicians who consider being a member of the Congress their lifetime career. Limiting the time any senator or representative could serve to 12 years would be of major benefit to all Americans by allowing men and women of all races the opportunity to serve their country in the Congress and then return to the mainstream as ordinary citizens.
