TECH NAMES DIRECTOR FOR RESEARCH CENTER

A marketing and management consultant from Tampa, Fla., has been named director of Virginia Tech's Corporate Research Center, officials announced Thursday.

Frank R. Meade, experienced in policy strategy and marketing program development, succeeds Don Overly, who died in December.

While in Tampa, Meade was an associate with Grubb and Ellis, the nation's largest independent commercial real estate firm. He also served as general manager of an 880-acre commerce park.
