Mrs. Verta Mable Meier, age 80 of Roanoke, passed away Friday, July 20, 1990. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Emery and Jennie Fobare, Roanoke County; Donald L. and Mary Anne Fobare, Roanoke County; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy R. Allen, Fort Ann, N.Y. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 Monday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Kenneth Emmerling officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem.
