Tida Long Hawkins, age 83, formerly of Longview Ave., S.W., died Thursday, July 19, 1990. She was the widow of Leighman Earl Hawkins, a retired employee of Appalachian Power Company and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are a nephew-in-law, John H. Voit, Roanoke; great-nephew and wife, John Steven and Brenda Voit, Atlanta, Ga. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Sherwood Memorial Park with Dr. C. Steven Teague officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 12:00 noon to 2:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
