Bertie Knick Hostetter Howell, age 91, died Friday, July 20, 1990, in the Stonewall Jackson E.C.F. Mrs. Howell was born October 6, 1898, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Herman Frederick Knick and Eva Johnson Knick. She was a member of the Lauderdale A.R.P. Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ruley and Mrs. Martha Sensabaugh, both of Lexington; one son, Eason Hostetter, Lexington; two sisters, Beatrice Wilhelm and Ethel Hostetter, both of Lexington; one brother, Clarence Knick, Buena Vista; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 1990, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Zeb Carson Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
