Bertha Minnix Bondurant, age 79, of Route 5, Box 278, died Friday, June 20, 1990, in Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. Born March 2, 1911, in the Boones Mill section of Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar L. Minnix and the late Emmie Flora Minnix. She was a member of Jones Chapel Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Bondurant formerly operated along with her husband, Bondurant's Grocery in Figsboro. Surviving are her husband, Andrew J. (Jack) Bondurant, two daughters, Emmie Lee Gagne of Clinton, N.J.; Betty Lou Mitchell, Martinsville; three sons, Andrew J. Bondurant, Jr., Alexandria; Bobby Joe Bondurant, Amherst; G. T. Bondurant of Ridgeway; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday from the McKee Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Berlin Hanks and the Rev. John Johnson. Interment will be in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at McKeen Funeral Home, Memorials may be made to the Snow Creek Rescue Squad.
