DILLON, VIOLET P.

Mrs. Violet Peters Dillon, age 64, of 109 Sycamore St., died July 18, 1990, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late James and Bessie Peters and was the widow of James Harry Dillon. She retired from DuPont with over thirty-seven years of service. Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara D. and Curtis A. Guilliams, Rocky Mount; Patricia D. Sloan of Union Hall; three grandchildren, James Curtis Guilliams, and Daniel Lee Guilliams, both of Rocky Mount; Alma Christine Sloan of Union Hall; three brothers, Herman Peters of Ferrum; J. D. Peters of Bassett; Larry Peters of Snow Creek; five sisters, Mrs. John G. (Tinie) Turner, Mrs. Noreta P. Hodges and Mrs. Coy (Linda) Whorley, all of Ferrum; Mrs. James (Betty) Meade of Burnt Chimney; Mrs. Cecil (Lena) Brown of Burnt Chimney; also several nieces and nephews and many friends including, Debbie Jewell and Geraldine P. Dillon. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Lynch Chapel with the Rev. Earl Harrelson officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 3:00 p.m. Friday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
