MILLER & RHOADS PUT IN TRUSTEES' CARE

The remaining assets and unsettled legal affairs of Miller & Rhoads Inc. converted to the care of two court-appointed trustees Friday, reducing the former department store chain to a company in name only. The two trustees, representing the Richmond-based company's creditors, are lawyers Augustus C. Epps Jr. and Ernest K. Geisler Jr.

Miller & Rhoads, which operated in Roanoke, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 28, 1989.
