FARMER-HARRIS

Deborah Susanne Harris and Dean Gordon Farmer were married June 30 at Owens Banquet Hall on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Dr. James I. Robertson Jr. officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Herbert and Linda Harris of Athens, Ohio. She graduated from Athens High School, earned a bachelor's degree in industrial design at Ohio State University and master's degree in college student personnel administration at Ohio University. She is assistant director of university placement services at Virginia Tech. Gordon and Carolyn Farmer of Lynchburg are parents of the groom. He graduated from Rustburg High School and earned a bachelor's degree in history at Virginia Tech, where he is assistant director of alumni chapter programs.

Matron of honor was Sally McCarley of Columbus, Ohio. The father of the groom was best man. The couple will make their home in Blacksburg.
