OBIT REED, D.

Dennis (Junior) Reed, age 60, of Roanoke, died Saturday. He was retired from the Norfolk and Western Railway with thirty-three years of service and was a veteran of the Marine Corp. Surviving are his wife, Frances Reed; his children, Philip Lee Reed of Riner; Debbie Aspell of Vinton; and Jim Reed of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Philip Lee Reed, Jr., Denise Marie Aspell and B. J. Aspell, Brian Reed and Justin Reed; four sisters, Leila Gearhart, Cleo Altizer, Christene Bohon, Mildred Light; one brother, Jimmy Reed; a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be at Oakey's North Chapel 11:00 a.m Monday. The Rev. Ron Thompson and the Rev. Don Eshelman will officiate. The interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery in Riner. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
