Dr. William Prather Stull, age 85, of Roanoke, died Friday night, July 20, 1990, at his home after a long illness. He was born in Louisville, Ky. and moved to Princeton, W.Va. when he ws quite young. He graduated from Princeton High School where he excelled in sports and went on to receive his medical degree from Richmond Medical College. Dr. Stull was affiliated with St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla. and later moved to Carlisle, Pa. where he was on the Carlisle Hospital staff for 41 years. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine Temple in Carlisle and a member of St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Roanoke. During World War II he was a flight surgeon in the C.B.I. Theater of the war. Surviving are his wife, Gay Wright Stull, Princeton, W.Va.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Marilyn Jennings, Roanoke; two stepgrandchildren, Hope Jennings, Atlanta, Ga.; Joy Kelly, Greenville, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Saddler, Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin S. Stull, Roanoke; Mr. and Mrs. Ben M. Stull, Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday from Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. James Drinard Smith and the Rev. Frederick E. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Monday at Oakey's South Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
