OBIT--SOWERS, B.

SOWERS, BERTHA R.\ Bertha Reed Sowers, age 86, passed away Saturday, July 21, 1990, in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Swanson G. Sowers, and a son, Noah F. Sowers. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Freeda Sowers, Floyd; one granddaughter, Alice S. Bradbury, Christiansburg; two grandsons, Curtis R. Sowers, Mark A. Sowers, both of Floyd; one sister, Nina Mitchell, Floyd; two brothers, Asa C. Reed and Ola P. Reed, both of Floyd; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Branch Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Stanley Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
