Mrs. Claudie Mae Taylor Crook, age 93, of Route 1, Ferrum, died Saturday, July
21, 1990, in the Rocky Mount Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. Crockett David
Crook. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Eula and Herman
Mullins, Henry; Betty and Billy T. Conner, Henry; Laimer Hedrick, Ferrum; two
sons and daughters-in-law, Tillman and Shirley Crook, Walter Sam and Margaret
Crook, all of Ferrum; one brother, Curtis Edward Taylor, Danville; 10
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Funeral
services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lynch Chapel with the Rev.
Rick Poland and the Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the
Taylor Family Cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount,
after 3:00 p.m. Monday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu
of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Ferrum Rescue
Squad.
