PHILLIPS, RECIE D.\ Recie Della Phillips, age 82, of Route 1, Hiwassee (Snowville Community), died Saturday night in Community Hospital of the Roanoke Valley, Roanoke, Va. Born October 23, 1907, in Floyd, Va., she was the daughter of the late Walter Phillips and Nannie Phillips Phillips. She was a member of the Simpkinstown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Cleven (Edna Frances) Buckner of Radford; Mrs. George (Dorothy Helen) Pelkey and Mrs. Archie (Nobie Elizabeth) Altizer, both of Hiwassee; one brother, Stant Victor Phillips, Hiwassee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Sam Franklin and the Rev. C.E. Mannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Snowville Baptist Church Cemetery, Snowville, Va. Visiting will be anytime Monday and the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Monday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
