THREE TICKETS SHARE RECORD LOTTO PRIZE

Three tickets will share the Virginia Lottery's record $20.5 million Lotto jackpot, lottery spokeswoman Paula Otto said Sunday.

Otto said winning tickets for Saturday night's drawing were purchased at a supermarket in Norfolk and at convenience stores in Richmond and Virginia Beach. The winning combination was 7-11-12-13-18-34.

Each winning ticket will be worth about $6.8 million doled out in annual installments of about $260,000 after taxes.

Saturday night's drawing marked the first time a Virginia Lotto jackpot has been split three ways. In April, two winners shared a $1.5 million prize.

The most recent jackpot came up short of the Lottery Department's $22 million projection.

"We probably had more people playing at the beginning of the week than usual," Otto said. "That means we didn't have as high a percentage as usual playing at the end of the week."

Otto said 316 players correctly matched five of six numbers to win $1,310. Another 18,689 players won $47 by picking four correct numbers. A free Lotto play was won by 321,135 players who matched three of six.

This week's Lotto jackpot is estimated at $1.5 million, Otto said.
