OBIT HAWKINS, J.

Horace Hawkins, age 70, of Roanoke, died Monday morning in a Roanoke hospital. Mr. Hawkins was a former steel worker, former employee of Hotel Roanoke, and retired from the carpet cleaning business. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia W. Hawkins; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle B. Huddleston, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 1990, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. H. Kelly Dampeer, Sr. and the Rev. Jerry Clevenger officiating. Interment in Kidd & Bowyer Cemetery, Bedford County, Va. Friends may call at Lotz Roanoke Chapel anytime after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.
