FORMER U.S. ATTORNEY BACK IN NATIVE CARROLL

John Perry Alderman, U.S. Western District attorney for eight years, has returned to his native Carroll County to join a law firm here.

He has entered into a partnership with Joseph McGrady and Tom Jackson in Hillsville.

Alderman, who had his 55th birthday Sunday, joined his father in law practice here in 1958 after graduating from the University of Virginia Law School.

He was elected as Carroll County commonwealth's attorney in 1963 and was re-elected four times, each time without opposition. He held the job until he accepted the federal prosecutor's job in Roanoke.
