E&H PROFESSOR GETS GRANTS FOR COMPUTER

An Emory & Henry College assistant professor of biology is putting together two grants to buy a computer and software adapted for his long-term study of cells.

John R. Palisano has received a $11,923 grant from the Jeffress Foundation of Virginia and $995 from the Virginia Academy of Science for his work in the field of virology, where he is studying certain similarities of fetal and tumor cells. His work has implications for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
