Felix Lamont Ainge died from multiple gunshot wounds in the stomach, shoulder and forearms, authorities said. He was shot with a .25 caliber automatic pistol in the parking lot of Lenny's on Virginia 58 near Axton about 12:15 a.m. Monday.
Witnesses told police that Ainge and Robert Henry Perkins III, 25, also of Martinsville, had been arguing outside Lenny's shortly before the shooting.
Perkins was arrested near his Martinsville home about 12:45 a.m. He was charged with murder and illegal use of a firearm.
He was being held in the Henry County Jail without bond.
Authorities did not know what started the argument.
