RADFORD UNIVERSITY PLANNING SCHOLARSHIPS IN VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

The Arts Society of Radford University has been established to raise money for competitive scholarships that will attract talented students to the university's College of Visual and Performing Arts.

The campaign committee at its first meeting in June named Ken Bondurant of Bondurant Realty chairman. Central Fidelity Bank kicked off the campaign with a $50,000 gift.

Other members of the campaign committee include Taylor Cole, vice president of Central Fidelity Bank; Georgia Anne Snyder-Falkinham, a Blacksburg developer; alumnus Gerry Meador of Roanoke; James L. Griffith, a C&P Telephone manager from Blacksburg; alumna Frances Carson of Blacksburg; and art critic Ann Weinstein of Roanoke.
