`SESAME STREET' STAR COMES TO ROANOKE

Bob McGrath of "Sesame Street" will be in the studios of Blue Ridge Public Television for a free public appearance on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

The program, "Biscuits With Bob," will give children the opportunity to meet and have their pictures taken with McGrath. Other entertainment includes face painting, music and clowns.

McGrath will join the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra for "Picnic With the Pops" on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center. Performing with him will be students of the Floyd Ward School of Dance, under the direction of Jill Graybill.

General admission for the concert is $6, adults; $3, students and seniors. Reserved seats are $12 and $9. Call 375-3004.
