OBIT GILLS, D.

Darrell Eugene Gills, age 31, formerly of Salem, died Tuesday in Smithfield, Va. He is survived by one son, Michael Shane Gills of New Castle; two daughters, Amber Nicole Gills, New Castle; and Heather Lynn Holt of Smithfield; mother, Wanda Sublett Gills of Salem; father, Howard S. Gills of New Blaine, Ark.; one brother, Thomas Samuel Gills of Catawba; one sister, Donna Elaine Collins of Lafayette; a very good friend, Tammy Holt of Smithfield; stepmother, Shirley Gills; stepbrother, David Gills, both of New Blaine, Ark. Funeral will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, by the Rev. Herbert E. Sublett. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem.
