\ RADFORD - Clifton Loran (Snookie) Young, age 61, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 1990, at Radford Community Hospital. He was a retired machinist from the Lynchburg Foundry with 26 years of service and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Radford Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary L. Young; two daughters, Mrs. Samuel (Nancy) Phillips of Draper; Mrs. Curtis (Betty) Smith of Radford; his mother, Mrs. Clara B. Young of Hopewell; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Nester of Hopewell; three brothers, Winfred Young of Richmond; Milton (Doc) Young of Madison Heights; Herman H. Young of Radford; three grandchildren, Cliff Phillips, Patrick Phillips and Heather Smith. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Radford Christian Church in Radford with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family received friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Seaver-Sanders Funeral Home in Radford.
