\ CHRISTIANSBURG - Daisy Wright Ayers went home to be with the Lord from her home on Thursday, July 26, 1990. Surviving family members are Charles (Chas) Ayers, husband; one son, Kirk D. Ayers, his wife, Dania Price Ayers, and their son, Wesley; one daughter, Deborah W. Carter, her husband, Kenneth Carter and their children, Matthew, Jonathan and Kelly Carter, and Chris Wolfe, all of Christiansburg; mother and stepfather, Carrie W. and Ray Jenkins, Pulaski; two sisters, Sue Ramsey, Pulaski; Vida White, Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Elmer Wright, Cleveland, Ohio; Clyde Wright, Omaha, Neb.; Jack Wright, Newburn. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Growth Center, 1850 Electric Way, Christiansburg. Services will be conducted by Pastor Rob Sowell, Sr., with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The family will be celebrating her resurrection of new life with family and friends on Friday evening, July 27, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Daisy had requested that contributions be made to the Building Fund of Christian Growth Center, P.O. Box 2312, Christiansburg, Va. 24073. Arrangements are being handled by the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
