SMYTH CENTER MAY BE READY EARLY NEXT YEAR

The Smyth County Education Center could be ready for classes and other activities by the start of 1991, with three classrooms and a conference center.

It is scheduled for completion by September, one year after construction started. The Smyth County Chamber of Commerce raised local funds and is to get $150,000 from the state.

Wytheville Community College will staff and equip the center, using it for educational programs sought by area businesses and industries for their employees.
