IN SCHOOL

STEVEN PAUL KEY of Roanoke received Key a doctor of medicine degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. Key was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and served as chairman of the North Carolina Medical Society, medical student section.

A 1976 graduate of the former Andrew Lewis High School, Key received a bachelor of science degree in physiology from the University of California at Davis and a graduate degree from Duke University in 1984. He is the son of Bonnie C. Key Boothe and the late William Paxton Key and has received an appointment to train in the department of general surgery at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
