SATURDAY'S FCS RACES TO HONOR SUE TAYLOR

The All-Pro Auto Parts 300 stock-car races Saturday night at Franklin County Speedway will be run in memory of Sue Taylor, the speedway's co-owner who died this week.

The wife of promoter Whitey Taylor died at age 45 after a lengthy battle against cancer.

The 50-lap Late Model Stock Car race will pay $1,500 to the winner. Six-Cylinder, Street Stock, Mini Stock, Rookie and Any Car races also are scheduled.

Gates open at noon with practice at 5. Time trials start at 7 and the first green flag falls at 8 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults, and children 10 and under get in free. -Staff Report.
