Patriots' Director of Player Operations Joe Mendes said Thursday the team was not interested in entering the bidding for the holdout quarterback, whom the Packers have made available for trade because of his salary demands.
"I thought we had determined the road we were going to work down when we drafted [Louisiana State's] Tommy Hodson and basically reshirted him for a year to develop him," said Mendes.
Majkowski was the National Football Conference's starter in last year's Pro Bowl.
Majkowski is reportedly seeking in the vicinity of $3 million a year, and Vataha has said his client will not sign with anyone for less than $2 million a year. He reportedly made $450,000 last year in base salary and incentives.
