WBLB TO PUT HOT DOG FESTIVAL ON THE AIR LIVE TODAY IN PULASKI

LIVE: WBLB co-sponsors the Pulaski Hot Dog Festival today for "July is National Hot Dog Month." The fun at Jackson Park lasts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Eight to 10 bands will take part in WFNR's benefit for Ryan Wallace, a terminally ill Christiansburg resident, today at 1. Cost is $5.

WVVV broadcasts from Goody's at the Marketplace today, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

On Wednesday, WKEX's "Local Celebrity DJ Day" honors the five years since owner Bob Smith got the station's license. Blacksburg's mayor and other local officials will be on the air 6 a.m.-9 p.m.

WBLB sponsors the Nippers, McKameys and Ronnie Hinson at "Gospel Music Night" Friday, 7-9 p.m., at the New River Valley Fair.

WVVV will be at Blacksburg's "Steppin' Out" festival next weekend. Donations will go to the Humane Society.

\ ROCK: Today, 9-11 a.m., "Flashback" goes "Ghost Crazy" on WVVV and WJJJ.

Sunday on WVVV: 9 p.m., "In the Studio" with Chicago's "V, VI & VII"; 10 p.m., "The Live Show" features Jim Messina, Rusty Young, Aerosmith and others; 11 p.m. is "Album Feature" with "Waking Hours" by del Amitri.

On Monday, WVVV's "Rock Line" at 11:30 p.m. features the Allman Brothers. Cuts from John Hiatt's "Stolen Moments" air all day on Tuesday's "Rest of the Record." And "Five at Five" spotlights Stevie Ray Vaughn.

WUVT's "Live From the Knitting Factory" airs 8-9 p.m. Sunday live from the New York club. Also Sunday: "Hickory Dickory Dock" at 9 a.m. with music and stories; "Winds of Change" with folk rock at 11 a.m.; African, reggae and other world music at 1-7 p.m.

On WVRU: Monday, 8:30 p.m., is "What's New" with latest CD releases. Years 1965-72 are covered in Part I of a Pink Floyd special on "Long Live Rock" Monday, 9 p.m. Friday, 8 p.m., is "Blues From the Red Rooster" with classic and contemporary tunes.

\ BASEBALL: WBLB broadcasts the Pulaski Braves vs. Huntington Cubs on "Game of the Week," Thursday at 7 p.m. An update precedes the show at 5:15 p.m.

\ GOSPEL: WFNR's "Glorious Gospel Highway Show" airs Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

WKEX's "Gospel Music Time" is 6:05 a.m. weekdays.

WBLB airs the Rev. Don Crowder's "Harvest Revival" Sunday, 10-11 a.m.

WRAD and WRIQ air "Gospel Showcase" Sunday, 8 p.m.-midnight.

WBLB airs "Gospel Greats" Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 6 a.m. Then it's "Southern Gospel U.S.A." Saturday at noon and Thursday at 7 p.m.
