RELIGION BRIEFS

THE REV. JOHN P. COLATCH, A United Methodist minister formerly in campus ministry at the University of Delaware, will become chaplain of Ferrum College Aug. 15. He succeeds the Rev. Gary Robbins, who has become pastor of Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg.

Colatch was educated at West Virginia Wesleyan College, Duke Divinity School and Duquesne University. Before going to Delaware seven years ago, he was pastor of churches in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

He and his wife Connie have two children.

\ HOMECOMING is scheduled Aug. 5 at Blackwell Union Church near Saltville. Events will include Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship at 11, a potluck picnic at noon and gospel singing.
