Lala Williams Miller, age 82, of Friendship Manor, Lakeview, died Thursday, July 26, 1990. She was the widow of Carroll H. Miller, a member of Melrose Baptist Church and a former employee of Finks Jewelers. She is survived by one son-in-law, Joe Moffatt of Lexington; two grandchildren, Kimball M. Nickolet, California; and Alan M. Moffatt, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Avis Williams Copenhaver, Roanoke; and Rachel Williams Shifflett of Staunton. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside, Sherwood Memorial Park, 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, with the Rev. Dr. Denver J. Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Melrose Baptist Church. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
