2 LIVE CREW ALBUM UNDER FIRE IN 2 STATES

An Indiana judge has ruled the 2 Live Crew album "As Nasty as They Wanna Be" violates standards of decency and should not be sold to minors, and Dallas prosecutors filed charges against two store chains for selling the album.

The million-selling album has already been ruled obscene by a Florida judge and banned from record stores in San Antonio.

In Indiana, Howard County Judge Randy G. Hainlen issued his ruling late Friday after reviewing an affidavit submitted by Prosecutor James D. Andrews and listening to the tape in his chambers.

In Texas, Dallas Assistant District Attorney David Pickett said the lyrics of the rap album are obscene under the Texas penal code.
