TECH ATHLETIC FUND HAS RECORD GIVING YEAR

The Virginia Tech Athletic Fund ended its giving for the fiscal year with a record total of $2,860,530, it was announced Saturday at a meeting of the fund's board of directors.

The total includes gifts for annual and endowment scholarships, capital projects and the Athletic Initiative Fund.

It also was announced that the Second Century Campaign, a university drive designed to raise $17 million for intercollegiate athletics, totals $7,032,395. The drive started Jan. 20 and will end in 1992. - Staff report
