Billy Wayne Alley, age 47, of Route 4, Moneta, has gone to be with the Lord
where all is peace and joy for evermore. He is awaiting the arrival of a
loving and faithful wife, Jackie Cline Alley; children, Anthony Wayne (Butch)
Alley, Salem; Brian Scott Alley, at home; Mrs. Laura Lynette Carolus, Atlanta,
Ga.; his mother, Beulah Dove Alley, Roanoke; brothers, Harold Douglas Alley,
Bedford Co.; Ronald Darrell Alley, Roanoke; sisters, Mrs. J.C. (Shirley A.)
Hay, Roanoke; Mrs. Jerry (Joyce Ann) Slusher, Salem; Mrs. Barry (Lois Colleen)
Pruett, Goodview; Mrs. Phillip (Becky Faye) Hamilton, Franklin County; Mrs.
Aubrey (Nancy Lee) Shelburne, Roanoke; a grandson, James Howard Carolus; and a
host of nephews, nieces and friends. To God be the glory. He was a Viet Nam
veteran and served with the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his father,
Charlie W. (Bill) Alley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday,
July 31, 1990, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. The Rev. William A. McDaniel will
officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with military honors.
