OBIT PENDLETON, R.

Mrs. Ruby Z. Pendleton, age 71, of Roanoke, died Monday in a local hospital. She was born in West Virginia, September 2, 1919. She is survived by her husband, John H. Pendleton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Louie Gene and Cleta Burgess, Cleveland, Ohio; Danny W. and Debbie Pendleton, Roanoke; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Sue and Ollie Burns, W.Va.; Brenda Jane and Sonny Thomas, Troutville; three brothers, George Ashford Barker, Ky.; Uliah A. Barker, Salem; Raymond Barker, Ohio; five sisters, Lois Ann Ellis, Ohio; Evelyn Lonk, Laura Osbrone, Wanda Plum, Unie Welch, all of W.Va.; stepmother, Hattie Balies, W.Va.; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 1990, with the Rev. Ken Wright officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
