YOUTH SHOT IN ARM AFTER TRAFFIC DISPUTE

A minor traffic dispute erupted early Saturday into gunfire and the wounding of a 17-year-old Northwest Roanoke resident.

Police said Lamont Webb of Harrison Avenue Northwest was shot once in the left arm about 1:50 a.m. Saturday.

Webb told police he was on a sidewalk on Burrell Street Northwest when a carload of people drove up in a red Ford Escort. He told police he had had a minor traffic dispute with the people earlier. When the car pulled up, he told police, one man fired three times in the air. When he ran, he said, a second man shot him in the arm.

The two men then got in the car with a third man and a woman and fled.
