\ Mr. Thessalonia Crosby Banks, Sr., age 83, of 1732 Carroll Avenue, N.W., died Sunday in a local hospital. Survivors include two sons, T. C. Banks, Jr., Walter L. Banks, both of Roanoke; six brothers, Bishop John Banks, Jr., Portsmouth; Rev. Carry Banks, Elizabeth City, N.C.; Melvin Banks, Seattle, Wash.; Donald Banks, Dorchester, Mass.; Dasell Banks, Studio City, Calif.; Joseph McSteven, Boston, Mass.; five sisters, Virginia Banks, Elizabeth City, N.C.; Lovie Purnell, Delair, N.J.; Effie McCaffity, Baltimore, Md.; Dorothy Barclift, Sumter, S.C.; Catheleen Brown, Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Conrad A. Banks and Tonya N. Hairston, both of Roanoke; Teresa C. Simpson, Silver Springs, Md.; one great-grandchild, Brittany M. Banks, Roanoke; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
