LIBRARIES PLAN PARTIES FOR READERS

Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library will honor Summer Reading Program participants this week with a certificate day and other activities.

Local dignitaries will sign the certificates that will be given to children who participated in the reading program at the three area libraries. Also, clowns will give away free helium balloons and Wayne Taylor, a ventriloquist, magician and comedian, will perform shows along with his dummy, Henry. Here is the schedule:

\ Today: Sheltman Street library, Christiansburg. Certificate signing and helium balloons, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Magic show, 11 a.m. Free tickets are required and are available at the children's desk.

\ Today: Peterman Branch, Floyd. Certificate signing and helium balloons, 1-4 p.m. Magic show, 2 p.m.

\ Thursday: Blacksburg Branch, Draper Road. Certificate signing and helium balloons, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Magic show, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Free tickets are required and available at the children's desk. For information, call Jo Brown at 382-6967.
