LUCION ENTERS PRISON IN TALLAHASSEE, FLA.

Stephen Lucion surrendered Monday to begin serving a 10-year sentence at a federal prison in Tallahassee, Fla., for defrauding Roanoke-area investors out of $2 million.

Lucion, sentenced in June, once was jailed by a federal judge because of fear he might flee the country.

However, after his conviction, federal prosecutors decided that he was no longer a risk of flight. They agreed to let him remain free until Monday to give him time to close his business operations in Miami.
