RIBBON-CUTTING AT SEWAGE PLANT

Town Council will have an open house and ribbon-cutting Wednesday at the Pearisburg Secondary Sewage Treatment Facility.

Tours will also be given during the 1-4 p.m. event. The plant is on Virginia 680 in Bluff City.

The facility opened in July and recently reached full operation. It was financed by a $2.5 million loan from the state's Revolving Loan Fund at no interest with a 20-year payback period.

Light refreshments will be provided during the open house.
