OBIT SMITH, G.

Guy Herbert Smith, Jr., age 68, of 6041 Rhonda Road, died Monday, July 30, 1990, at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. He was the husband of Ruth Fischer Smith. Born in Evington, Va., he was the son of the late Guy Herbert Smith, Sr., and Callie Haden Smith. He was retired from the Roanoke Office of Allstate Insurance Company where he was a Senior Property Adjuster. He was a member of the Quaker Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. W. Ray McDaniel, Thomaston, Ga.; Mrs. William R. Rinehart, Lynchburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard K. Smith. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 12:00 noon by the Rev. James G. Thompson at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel today from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Those wishing to make memorials, please consider the American Cancer Society.
