RURAL RETREAT - Cecil Franklin Crawford, age 84, died Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Rural Retreat, the son of the late Sydney Clark and Almeda Anderson Crawford. He was a member of the Rural Retreat United Methodist Church and is survived by his wife, Alma H. Crawford; two sisters, Mary Ellen Crawford, Rural Retreat; Hazel Anders, Speedwell; two brothers, Pat Crawford, Joe Crawford, both of Rural Retreat; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday from the Lindsey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Buford W. Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Rural Retreat. The family sincerely suggests that memorials be made to the Rural Retreat Emergency Service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home or at the residence at anytime, also at the home of Bill Henderlite. The Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat, is in charge of arrangements.
