COVINGTON - Estus Cleveland Humphries, Jr., age 57, of Covington, died Thursday in Alleghany Regional Hospital. He was born November 26, 1933, in Alleghany County, the son of the late Estus C. Humphries Sr. and Erma Bush Humphries. He is survived by his wife, Maggie H. Humphries, Covington; one son, Steven R. Humphries, Covington; one daughter, Mrs. Robbie (Carol) Weese, Covington; one stepson, Lance Craft, Covington; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Phillip (Tina) Morgan, Covington; two brothers, Howard P. Humphries, Covington; Herman O. Humphries, Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Collins, Roanoke; Mrs. Arlene Hilton, St. Albans, W.Va. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel in Covington with the Rev. Paul Harris officiating assisted by the Rev. James T. Mays Sr. with interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
