Mrs. Oscie Leona Bales Rector, age 102, died Thursday, January 31, 1991, in the Valley Health Care Center, Chilhowie. She was a native of Smyth County and former resident of Sezen Mile Ford and Tazewell. She was the widow of Charles Harvey Rector. She is survived by two sons, C. Hilton Rector, Chilhowie; Roy Rector, Tazewell; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be conduced 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Johnson and the Rev. David Tenniost officiating. Burial will follow in Middle Fork Cemetery. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to the Middle Fork Cemetery, Chilhowie, or Trinity Presbyterian Church, Tazewell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday the Williams Funeral Home.
