A Giles County man who was arrested on drug charges this week is a former real estate agent from the Staffordsville area, Pearisburg Town Manager Ken Vittum said Friday.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation identified Edmund M. Ricci Jr., 44, as a Pearisburg real estate agent in a news release. This information was published in Friday's New River Current.

He was arrested after a federal grand jury in Philadelphia indicted him and six others on charges of conspiracy and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
