Paul Lamont Adams of Landover Hills, Md., and David Jose Robinson of Forestville, Md., are alleged to have used false identification to buy two handguns and three assault weapons.
The two men were arrested in December with a third suspect - a juvenile - at Capital Guns and Ammo on Peters Creek Road in Roanoke County.
Authorities allege that the men were buying the guns and ammunition to take north and sell to drug dealers. One type of gun purchased - Tec-9, 9mm pistols - are common in the drug trade.
Adams is further charged with unlawfully possessing firearms as a fugitive. He is wanted on Maryland charges of assault with intent to commit murder.
Each man faces a maximum 25 years in prison, a $1 million fine or both.
Robinson's trial date was set for March 6 and Adams' for March 7.
