PHILADELPHIA - The Messianic Jewish Alliance of America, which claims to represent 100,000 American Jews who have accepted Jesus as Messiah, has praised President Bush and allied forces fighting in the Middle East.

`Prayers for Peace'
NEW YORK - A "Prayers for Peace" campaign has been launched on the cable network of VISN, the Vision Interfaith Satellite Network operated by the country's various religious bodies.
The series of 30- and 60-second spots features prayers by Christian, Islamic, Jewish and Orthodox leaders.
Jeffrey C. Weber, executive vice president of programming, said that "while other networks are admirably covering the news aspects" of the war, "VISN feels it can make its best contribution by being a place for reflection and prayer." - Associated Press
