NO-MEN HIRING POLICY AT CLUB RULED ILLEGAL

A women-only health club's policy of not hiring men is discriminatory, a judge ruled.

A lawyer for Women's Workout World said the 22-club Chicago area chain probably will appeal the ruling by U.S. District Judge Ann Claire Williams.

Williams ruled Thursday that the "no-males" employment policy is illegal under the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
