MONTGOMERY DOESN'T NEED RAILROAD SPUR

I am writing about the environmental impact of the proposed Norfolk Southern Railway spur into Montgomery County.

Will the proposed dump in Roanoke County, to be serviced by a railroad that serves regions from north to south and east to west, turn out to be another Kim-Stan?

Norfolk Southern tells us it will be clean. We need inspection to see how clean the landfill really is - to watch for water contamination.

We need to make sure the railroad keeps crossties, discarded barrels and especially fuel oil containers cleaned up properly!

To the people of Montgomery County, we don't need this railroad spur in our community.

The railroad is no good to us. Another problem is all this dust we're breathing from coal that is being shipped to Japan. More money for the big conglomerate. I think if we keep trying we can get the cars covered that will take care of part of the problem.
