OBIT HARRELL, R.

HARRELL, ROBERT A., SR

Robert Anson Harrell, Sr., age 71, of Brookmont Rd., Pulaski, died Friday morning at his home. He was born in Pulaski, Va., on July 30, 1919, the son of the late Samuel Franklin Harrell, Sr., and Mary Lettie Burke Harrell. Mr. Harrell was a retired electrician and was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local No. 637 of Roanoke, Va. He was a veteran, having served in World War II in the U. S. Army Signal Corp. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wallace Harrell. Surviving are his wife, Nellie Harrell, Pulaski; three sons, Robert A. Harrell, Jr., Billy Harrell and Samuel Harrell, all of Pulaski; three sisters, Mrs. Robert A. (Thelma) Hudson, Sr., Lettie Marie Harrell, both of Pulaski; Mrs. James R. (Betty) Hurst, Dublin; one brother, Samuel F. Harrell, Jr., Dublin; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clarence Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be Sunday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
